What are we talking about ?

This database provides a comprehensive overview of how EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and the UK have transposed key articles of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD), specifically Articles 13 (1 , 2, and 6), 16 , and 17 on the promotion of European and independent works.

How do you use this website ?

Our user-friendly interface lets you explore two main sections for each country:
Indicators: Discover the quotas and financial obligations that countries require of audiovisual media services.
Transpositions: See how these requirements have been implemented in national legislation.

You can:
Export results: Download a complete, editable Excel overview of each country’s current status.
Compare quotas for any topic across multiple countries (select more than one country by holding the “Control” key. By default, all countries are selected unless you specify your own selection).
Export comparison results for the countries and topics you’ve selected.
Download data for all countries sorted by topic with one click.
Read and compare national transpositions for any selected topic.
